I Am Just Me, Author, Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Hi, I'm Sherri Smith and live in Decatur, Illinois.  I'm new to blogging and websites.  Both are still works in progress!  I love to read, write, shoot pool, and spend time with my family.  I have a wonderful husband, Steve, two dogs, Big Hoss and Little Joe, and 22 grandkids.  I volunteer three days a week in a first grade class, follow my granddaughter's volleyball team, take another one to tumbling lessons, and four more to Junior Pool.  Oh yeah, I also shoot pool on two teams and am a Junior Girl Scout Leader.  I know, I'm busy, but I'm hanging in there!

I write books!  I have had three published.  A poetry book that is no longer available, and two novels.  My novels are the first two books of a trilogy.  Bitter Water and Troubled Water, with Tranquil Water in the works to finish it up.

I've been blessed to have a wonderful husband and family.  Love my kids, love my grandkids, and love my 1st graders!  I do have a great grandchild on the way.  I know, I can hardly believe that one either!!

I also love to travel.  I was fortunate to be able to visit Europe while our son was stationed in Germany.  I saw many wonderful sites and it's an experience I will never forget.  So beautiful!

I've become adventuresome as I get older.  I took to heart the song by Tim McGraw "Live Like You Were Dying".  I have done things I never would have dreamed of doing when I was younger!  Some of those things are:

Pet a Shark
Snorkel in the ocean
Went to the top of the Eiffel Tower
Had a glass of wine while cruising on the Rhine
Went on 2 cruises
Written and Published three books
Seen the Swiss Alps
Visited a castle or two in Germany
Wrote a song

I still have a bucket list.  I hope to be able to complete this list as I continue to stay healthy and alert.  Here is my Bucket List

Go to Hawaii
Write more books
See the Cubs in the World Series (I know, that's a long shot...lol)

More later as I continue this new journey of blogging and creating a website!
